David was Police Officer for thirty years and within that period a Police First Aid Trainer for twenty seven years. Awarded an MBE in the 2018 Queens Birthday hnours list for 'services to youth' he is heavily involved in volunteering and has a wealth of knowledge in respect of working with youth holding Level 3 & NVQ qualifications in Supporting Youth Work, in addition to qualifications in Restorative Justice, IAG, Protective Behaviours and Personal Safety. As a holder of a IOSH 'Managing Safely' qualification means he can adequately oversee the Health & Safety subjects we deliver to provide a well rounded and versitle training package for all clients.
Clare E Thompson RDN, AET (AoFAQ QCF), SWMML (W) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS002-QNUK190674)
Clare is a Registered Dental Nurse and has worked within the Health Service, Education and the Local Authority for a number of years in various administrative and mentoring roles and is heavily involved with Scouting in the role of County Training Manager. Clare has a real strength of knowledge in working with youth, and holds Level 3 and NVQ qualifications in Youth Work, and a Higher Award in Sports Leadership. Holding a South West Mountain & Moorland Leader (Winter) walking qualification (with camping endorsement) means she has the knowledge to train outdoor elements, providing relevant and pro-active training packages.
Megan L Irving AET (City & Guilds) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS003-QNUK190675)
Megan is an Acting Corporal in the Royal Air Force based at the Defence College of Policing and Guarding. She has previously been a Police Volunteer for four years as well as being involved with Guiding, Scouting and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. With her work the armed service Megan has a real understanding of the Public Services course criteria and this together her Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award and RAF Team Medic qualification, gives her a real knowledge platform with which to deliver and support front line training and support techniques on a wide ramge of subjects.
Julie Grose Pttls (City & Guilds) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS004)
Julie has been involved with logistics and training support for several large companies, and has previously been a Police Volunteer for four years as well as being currently involved with Scouting (as an Assistant County Commissioner) and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme as an assessor. Julie has an inner strength in respect of supporting people to achieve, and regulary assists with hill walking training and assessments for young people. Julie has a vast experience in relation to communication skills, is part of the United Kinhdom Support Contingent thatis going to the USA as part of a World Scout Jamboree Contingent this coming summer.
Paul Dix AET (AoFAQ QCF) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS005)
Paul has a background in the transport industry, and has previously been a Police Volunteer for four years as well as being involved with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award in a supervisiory capacity. A company director in his own right, he has the ability to engage and inspire others in respect of team building and group dynamics, enabling others to get the best out of situations. Paul holds minibus driving qualifications and is adaptable to meet the needs and requirements of several training aspects including navigation and survival techniques, and has a natural ability to be able to adapt to any situation to train others and allow them to achieve..
Geoff Turner-Moore AET (AoFAQ QCF) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS006)
Geoff has been a Police Officer for thirty years and currently works in the role of a Youth Intervention Officer in the East Cornwall area of the county.. Geoff regulary works with and engages with schools and has a specialism in respect of the delivery of lessons in respect of safeguarding and can impart knowledge to others with an impactive approach. With the knowledge in respect of Restorative Justice Approaches and Drugs & Alcohol he has the resources and an ability to adapt to changing situations, making him a versitle trainer in any situation.
Sophie-Jo Dix AET (AoFAQ QCF) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS009)
Sophie-Jo is one of the younger members of our team and has been active as a Nursery and Early Years Pre-School worker for several years in the St Agnes area, and is currently engaged on a university course at Plymouth University. Sophie-Jo has recently been regulary delivering a large number of sub-contracted first aid of sessions for one of our clients, and is creating a sound knowledge base for herself. She is in her comfort zone in this area, but as a younger trainer, experience will enable her to gain qualifications and develop her skill sets to other fields.
Paul O'Dwyer AET (AoFAQ QCF) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS008-QNUK190709)
Paul has been a Police Community Support Officer with Devon & Cornwall Police for eight years and currently works as part of the Kingbridge Neighbourhood Team in South Devon. Paul (or POD as he prefers to be known) is also a Coastguard, and has an emmense amount of experience from both of these roles that he is able to draw from and impart to others. He has at present been heavily concentrating of the delivery of First Aid Courses in the Plymouth and Exter areas for some of our clients, but is and can be adaptable to meet most training requirements that are needed and is a value member of the team.
Mark Rosevear AET (City & Guilds) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS007-QNUK190672)
Mark has been a Coastguard for a number of years, being Station Officer of the Falmouth Rescue Team and has also previously been a Police Volunteer Leader working with Police Cadets. Working for Falmouth University, Mark rengages within learning enviroments on a daily basis and has a strong knowledge of First Aid situations. He has a specialism in respect of the delivery of safeguarding and can impart knowledge to others with a wealth of knowledge from a previous background in Social Services, making him a valuable trainer to meet most training situations.
Sally Brake AET (City & Guilds) - Level 3 Trainer (CLS010)
Sally has been a trainer for several years, intially working for another training company and now operating her own training comapny in the Bristol area. She has a working relationship with ourselves, and provides regular training support and sub-contracted working wbetween her company and ours, but is registeered with ourselves and AoFAQ and through her own company she is registered through Qualsafe. This partnership provides benefits for both companies, and as well as being apt at First Aid Training specialises in Manual Handling Courses.
Megan K Thompson Apprentice Trainer - Level 0 Trainer (CLS11)
Megan is currently studying hiostory at Winchester University and is about to undertake training to Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) qualification to enable her to operate as a stand alone trainer. She is the holder of Bronze, Silver & Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Awards and the Scout Queen's Scout Award and is an Assistant Cub Scout Leader with the 1st Castle Canyke (4th Bodmin) Scout Group . She has previously been a Police Cadet, being a Grade 4 Senior Cadet and Mayors Cadet in the Bodmin Unit. Over the next year and with a little experience and a teaching qualification behind her, she will develop into an excellent trainer.

As a member of St John Ambulance he has been involved with amulance provision for the Nightingale Hospital at the O2 areana and with the London Pride fesitival.
